Perfectly Imperfect

My daughter is a gymnast. She spends quite a few hours in the gym trying to achieve the almost unobtainable perfection in the sport. Homeschooling is such a release from that perfection for both her and myself. I am a former gymnast and a coach, but even before that I was just a kid in public school “not quite getting it” in some areas, like math. I was made to believe that there was one way of thinking and learning, which I later found out, is totally not the case! There are infinite ways of thinking, and learning, and all of them are amazing and lead to lifelong learning paths; like Homeschooling!
HS5     LadyBug is a passionate animal lover, artist, and story teller as well as a gymnast. Homeschooling for our family gives her the opportunity to learn at the pace she wants, with all of her “mistakes” in the process. Mistakes mean you’re trying, and the only time you fail, is if you stop trying. There are no limits, or boundaries to her life; on learning, or her dreams. LadyBug has big dreams. To own a farm with our two Cane Corso’s, protect all the cows from farmers, and to be a Gator Gymnast, (or as she says, “Be on Simone’s Team.”) She is the leader of her path and we are along for the journey!

Speed Dating With Curriculum

When beginning homeschooling, there is what can be the daunting task of choosing your curriculum. Weather you are religious, secular, an unschooler or undetermined on your learning path, there are what seems like an overwhelming multitude of choices for you. From boxed curriculum's, to bundle packs, and even pick your own homeschooling pieces, homeschooling caters to everyone's lifestyle and learning path, that is the glory of homeschooling.
